Stopped in here for lunch and had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Mr. Maqbool. Him and his staff were extremely kind to us and we greatly enjoyed our lunch.
As other reviewers have stated, I first thought that the prices seemed a little high but after finishing the meal I thought they were appropriate. Considering that more and more ramen chains are charging ¥1000+, ¥1400 for two curries, naan, salad, soup, chicken tikka, a samosa and a drink was well worth it. With the exception of the chicken burger, most of the items on the menu are what you would expect to find in a Pakistani restaurant in Japan. That being said, the spices in the curry were very balanced. I opted for the 辛口 (spicy) saag and mutton curry, and was very happy with the level of heat on a cold day. It wasn't a punch in the face, instead warming me up throughout the meal. All of the meats, naan, and samosa were also fantastic. Finished the meal with a cup of Pakistani tea, which Mr. Maqbool graciously comped after I had mentioned I had never had it. He mentioned that the tea prevents your stomach from becoming upset after eating spiced/spicy foods — and he was absolutely right about that. If I am being very picky, the only point I could subtract is from the atmosphere as I think there are some wonderful opportunities to include some beautiful lighting (to be fair, we went during the day so I would like to go again at night) and combine Pakistani and Japanese aesthetics in the seating layout such as a few low tables with zabuton.
Most importantly, I left with a full belly and a happy heart.

Read moreThe service was absolute trash — rude, slow, and completely unprofessional. They even charged some random, made-up tax that’s nowhere to be found on the menu or in any official notice. And here’s the biggest joke: it’s supposed to be a “halal restaurant”, but they’re selling beer and even promoting it just because non-Muslims come too. As a Muslim, that’s beyond embarrassing. Have...
Read moreThe receipt only had the total amount with no breakdown of what cost what — completely unacceptable. On top of that, the total was clearly higher than what I actually ordered. This is blatant overcharging. And to make things worse, the tea I ordered was served without milk and tasted...
