One of the best unagi places I’ve tried in Japan. This shop has a long history since late 1800: and was first established in Nagoya (known for unagi!) before they opened this branch in Kiso. They also serves local delicacies like grilled mountain trout caught from the nearby...

Wonderful meal: the unagi (eel) three ways was delicious and delightful to eat; as was the Yamazato Gozen with its mix of bracken, mushrooms and that wonderful tofu with wasabi miso, and carp sashimi. The staff were friendly and they even had an English menu! Love...
