I lived in Kiso for 3 years and this was my go-to local ramen spot...for one item in particular: the Tan-Tan Men.
The great thing (and sometimes unfortunate) about TTM is it can vary greatly depending on area/restaurant. This TTM is less focused on the typical rich, heavy, sesame forward broth, but rather, the blow your pants off hot, spicy, eggy broth (also saving you LOTS of calories).
I LOVE spicy food and it can be difficult to find in Japan (no matter how over-the-top they advertise it). This TTM delivers. I suggest the Chuu-kara TTM with corn topping to add a cool, crunchy, sweet flavor.
Besides the TTM this place offers a nice variety, and most are just good. Not bad, not great, just average.
