Kura Sushi AEON MALL Okinawa Rycom Store — Restaurant in Kitanakagusuku

Very unpleasant experience dining in Kura Sushi. The food was alright. The issue occurred when we paid the bills. As the clerk took 5 bills ($5000 yen) from us and put into the sorting machine, the machine went jammed and miscounted the bills. The clerk retrieved the jammed bill and put it into the machine without letting the machine count that bill, ended up the the machine only counted 4 bills ($4000 yen). We waited patiently to help the clerk to resolve the issue, but at the end the clerk insisted us to pay another $1000 yen simply because they couldn’t prove we paid $5000.

We were very certain we handed over $5000 yen but we were treated unfairly. This clerk did not have proper action handling this issue. This clerk should treat customer with proper care and not treat us as criminal. We felt very uncomfortable on how this restaurant handled such issue.

This place is usually packed simply based on the fact that it is at the mall. Like the chain they offer some low carb options, but this also changes with time. Order your food on a touch screen and it comes to you via conveyor belt or pick up your sushi as it travels around. I like this chain in terms of sushi go rounds versus others because they’re is a dome that covers the traveling dishes.

Great restaurant! The waiting time for the sushi ranged from 2-5 minutes, not bad. The quality was good and many various dishes were available to try. I love the mini-games that you get to play ever 5 dishes. They also have ramen, dessert, and more non-related sushi items. All of this you order from an iPad which is cool. Nice place to eat with family or friends. I would definitely recommend trying out...
