Shiojitei — Restaurant in Kobe

I got to Hyogo a bit late and it passed most dinner places working hours. Looked for food any place nearby and came across this. Hopped in and basically google translate the menu to make order 😂 The owner n staff were super nice n patient with me and the food was great

Ordered Maguro and Ebi Sushi, chef was kind enough to ask if I'm ok with wasabi since I'm a foreigner so that I don't choke myself 😂 told him a lil bit is ok with sign language cuz I dun speak Japanese

Wasn't expecting Natto with raw egg but then again was reminded of raw egg having some strict regulations over here n suitable to be consumed raw, end up enjoying it.

Grinded Radish had me surprised a lil since I nvr had this, not sure where does the subtle spices came from, gulp too much n choke myself a lil but all good after chugging down 3 cups of tea

Fried Cartilage n Chicken Wings 👍 👍 👍

Especially the wings, think it was fried 🤔 but then again the lil char parts had me doubting how did they do that if it was fully fried without burning the whole thing

Juicy, succulent, Crispy skin with a lil bit of salt brings out the sweetness, the char definitely enhance the flavor as well

Pretty good dining experience, kinda diff from my localized Jap food exp

A nice shop tucked away in a side street right outside the station. The shop seems to only cater to locals and has no english menu. The boss speaks minimal english words. Bring google translate. He was very patient with our ordering and helped us through the process. Also gave us some suggestions. I had the udon and 5 piece nigiri set for ¥1200. Drinks are cheap and the service is good. 先週知らずに水曜日に伺いお休みだったので今日電話をして再度突撃しました。

カウンターでにこやかに大将が威勢の良い大きな声でお出迎えしてくてます。

私は鉄火巻き定食うどん　税込み¥780 相棒は巻き寿司定食蕎麦　税込み¥550を 注文しました。

先に巻き寿司、鉄火巻きが到着して少ししてうどん、蕎麦が到着。

見たら分かる美味しいやつやーん笑

巻き寿司も注文が入ってすぐに大将が手慣れた手つきで巻いてくれます。

うどんは細麺の柔らか目のモチモチツルツルの麺、お蕎麦もツルツルした柔らかめ目の麺です。

お出汁は薄味で昆布がしっかり効いてとてもいい感じです。

お寿司も麺類も文句なしのお味で大将の細やかなお気遣いが気持ち良かったです。

良いお店を見つける事が出来ました。 本当は知られたくない隠れ家にしたい気分ですが最高のお店です。
