Excellent water quality; silky and with a touch of sulphur smell. The presence of water scales on the wood is testament to the authenticity of the hotspring water. The onsen has both public and family baths. We opted for the public baths as the baths are ample with both indoor and outdoor facilities, and a large heat sauna. The indoor baths come with waterjets. Nestled at the base of a landscaped garden are two outdoor baths for each gender. One of the outdoor baths has a waterfall that is excellent for tired shoulders. I recently stayed at this charming Japanese inn in January and had a wonderful experience. It's not a luxury hotel, but it offers excellent value for the price. First of all, The hot spring was great. The atmosphere is cozy and home-like, and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful, even with language barriers. Good Onsen if you're in the area. We were playing at the waterfall and it started raining so we ought to dry ourselves with hot onsen. There were 4 hot baths and extremley hot sauna. One cold plunge pool.
