This small restaurant located near by Daigoji. The staff was kind and patient. Because there was no English menu, and we had to inquire about the ingredients, so we took some time to order. However, finally we succeeded, thanks to kind lady in the shop. Super chill, good-sized portions, and kind staff. We arrived 5 minutes before 3, which seemed to be closing time, but he seemed happy to seat us.

Food is typical Japanese cafe fare: "omurice" , "hamburg", various "katsu", etc. Delicious.

One caveat for foreign travelers: it isn't clear if he speaks English, and the menu was picture-less...

◆店舗名:キッチンかりんや ◆注文品名: 「日替わり:メインはポークカツ」 ◆感想 ⚫︎ポークカツ ビックリするくらい美味しい！トンカツではない！ポークカツだった。トンテキをカツにして洋風にアレンジしたかのようだった。ソースも複雑で手間のかかっている味。肉質も柔らかジューシー。下処理の手間なのかも。付き合わせのパスタも手抜きナシ！ 余ったソースに絡めるとさらに美味さアップ。 ⚫︎ゴハンと味噌汁 ご飯の量が多い、味噌汁も手間仕事を惜しんでいない。

◆総評として とにかく食べて後悔をしたことがない。 味は濃いので毎日は行けないが月一程度の定期訪問で長く通いたいと思う。
