Fujiya-bekkan Chinryutei — Restaurant in Kyoto

Was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant for its food quality and views! As a solo traveler, I was rejected by many other restaurants who have a minimum 2 pax rule (and an insanely pricey menu). Took a chance on this restaurant and I enjoyed the food so much, it looked simple but absolutely delicious.

Views are also incredible, staff were very welcoming and friendly. Though the price of the set wasn’t exactly value for money, I guess the experience...

I enjoyed this restaurant so much cause

1. it’s located on a beautiful hill and is next to a brook;
2. it’s spacious and very clean;
3. most area I saw is covered by tatami including lady’s room 😄;
4. staffs are professional, friendly, courteous, pleasant and volunteered to take photos for us;
5. they provide excellent food: fresh, tasty and presentable! It was definitely worth our search,...

Good food but quite expensive. An additionnal table charge of 500¥/person is added to the bill. We ate a lot of very good things but were quickly hungry after the meal. Very nice terrasse on the river....
