Hashigo Cafe Kyoto — Restaurant in Kyoto

This place is SO CUTE and spacious... They renovated an old bathhouse into a cafe and it's so freaking adorable. I split a omuhayashi and taco rice with a friend. The food was decent nothing crazy. We also had marron french toast which was super yummy ( not the marron cream it was too sweet)... I would come back for a different french toast!! They're also known for their shaved ice in the summer... Will have to try one day

Update: I went back for the shaved ice. It was really yummy and they had pieces of cheesecake inside of the milk tea flavored one. It was scrumptious and I recommend it. However, after I left the cafe, I noticed that my hair and clothing had a strong stench of the lunch I had. So I believe the ventilation in the cafe is quite poor and I smelled like dashi. The atmosphere is cute but beware of the poor...

So we came here by accident. We were heading to the bakery next door but the bakery was closed (even though Google said it was open). Because we were hungry we stopped at this cafe. We ordered the French toast and we have to say, it was delicious! Furthermore the staff is very friendly and the place looks great. If you are around, don’t hesitate to grab some bites...
