Kinema Kitchen — Restaurant in Kyoto

Our group had several set lunches (beef stew & daikon, miso mackerel, fried chicken). All were delicious and felt like a home cooked meal. The waitress was very patient trying to get our options right for our meals. Afterwards, we had a coffee and dessert set. The desert was just the right amount of sweetness and coffee has a rich aroma.

Prices were very reasonable. About 1,000 - 1,300 yen for meal sets. The dessert and coffee set was 800 yen.

The cafe is film and photography themed. Lots of neighborhood elders seem to gather here for a meal or drink.

We came here to escape the tourist prices near the bamboo forest and park area. They don't have an English menu but they tried their best to explain what they had and it worked!

We came during their buffet style lunch set up, which was delicious. We had chicken karage with rice and all the buffet items we wanted for 1200 yen.
