OLU BURGER KYOTO/RAKUSAIGUCHI — Restaurant in Kyoto

As an American who has resided in Japan for some years, I can finally say that I’ve found a hamburger that meets my every expectation. Juicy patties, great toppings, hand-crafted and homemade buns, Olu Burger has them all. Best of all, the meat is cooked medium rare as a standard, and for the first time since moving to Japan I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked.

Beyond just the food, the ambiance is great. There are outlets and plenty of seating, and a cozy and chic environment. The owner is very friendly and easy to talk to.

After a long bicycle trip in the sun we were very hungry so as soon as we saw the burger place we decided to eat there. Lucky us! Very juicy wagyu burgers, very lovely and helpful staff. We really liked the enthusiastic server that served us, and cool owner that did the burgers.
