Had lunch on this little shop, I am vegan so it was a relief that the man understood what vegetarianism is and prepared me a kitsune udon, but instead of making it with fish dashi, he replaced it with miso! Great option if you dont want to go back to the city, and to enjoy a meal in nature

Have lunch after visiting jingoji as the atmosfer is great, eat with the momiji. We order mushroom miso dan tempura miso. Its bland for our (southeast asian) taste but iys still delicious, u can feel the original taste of the food.. the price still ok. There is hot ocha, toilet..

The nature and the atmosphere there is stunning, but the restaurant is quite primitive and backward. No vegetarian options, thin coffee, the Amazake that I ordered wasn’t even hot. In every convenience store in Japan, you can get better food. I recommend hiking in this area, but if you want food or drink, go...

Great little restaurant on way up to Jingo-ji Temple. Right at the foot of the stairs to the main entry point. We got soba noodles and it was delicious. The couple owning/running the place are very nice. It is a wonderful spot to hike up to from Takao, get a light lunch, then continue...
