Outside the sun was beating down, the queue was long but moved quickly. Inside we shuffled along a counter, our order was swiftly processed, and then we sat down. An older lady ensures efficient seating and that people eat and go! The udon was superb. (No wonder there was a queue.) First time visiting an udon only resturant in my 18 years in Japan... But was told when in kagawa you must have udon. Here is less resturant and more like a cafeteria or food court. When I saw the 3 hour wait stated on Google maps for a Tuesday lunch I was worried, but upon arriving awaited max 5 mins - small line but moved very quick. Great noodles. I got off my train during my Shikoku solo tour just to go to this place. The cost benefit ratio is very high and I am not sure how they can maintain profitability. 490 yen will get you a bowl of “special meat udon” which has thinly sliced pork and beef, a mildly cooked egg, wakame seaweed.
