Located on the way to Kashima island, it’s the perfect place to relax, have a drink or buy some cute things. The owner speaks very well English and is focused on local products and small business.
I didn’t had the chance of sleeping at the guest house. But I visited the cafe/shop/pub three days in a row. The atmosphere was so nice and relaxing, which was perfect during Japan heavy summer. I also had the breakfast buffet, which is open to the public, not only people who stay the night. It was delicious traditional homemade food.
Sometimes some party’s are organised because of local music events, hanabi or other traditional festivals in Hōjō. I definitely recommend you to go if you are around the area...
Read moreYou couldn't ask for a nicer guest house. It's clean cozy traditional and relaxing. They have an adorable little cafe and lots of little things that are local as well as bread. The food is delicious and the people are as friendly and genuinely cool as it gets. They are able to accommodate vegans and vegetarians if given notice ahead of time and are very organic and fair trade conscious. The location is excellent. Close to Kashima Island Ferry. The second floor room overlooked the marina. Short walk to the Seapa onsen, as well as, restaurants and izakayas. Very beautiful town.
