This place, colloquially known as "Thunder Ramen", is the go to ramen spot here in Misawa. Be sure to bring yen as they do not accept any other form of payment.
I finally had the chance to go here a few weeks ago. Parking can be a challenge, and be sure to follow the signs so that you don't have to with a potential tow or fine.
Upon getting inside, we were promptly seated at one of the floor tables for our relatively large party. It was an interesting experience for those not accustomed to it. I recommend trying to get a spot where you can sit against a wall for comfort, and don't forget to shift your legs from time to time.
I ordered the recommended Spicy BBQ Ramen which came as a good portion relative to the cost. It was very tasty, but the smokiness of the meat tended to overwhelm the other flavors. I'd love to give another offering a try some other time.

We were only in Misawa for two nights, but will definitely return to Thunder Ramen during our next visit later this summer of 2023. The staff were friendly and the food served - piping hot - very quickly. It's within long walking distance (30 minutes/2.5 km) but we took a taxi from the Misawa Inn - less than 1000 yen (I think). The ramen selection is huge -...

The amount of meat in it is amazing! if I order extra noodles or meat, I am not able to finish any side item I order. I am not the biggest fan of gyoza, but I would have to say they have the best shrimp gyoza I've ever had.
Their hours are typical of a ramen shop. Be sure to get there at a somewhat decent time. The parking space is very small. I highly recommend you back in to ensure you can get out.
Phone orders are limited to Japanese customers only. Too many individuals have ordered and not picked up causing the little shop to waste product. You can still walk in and order take out.
My wife and I dine here on a weekly...
