Kagoya Mizunoto Auberge — Restaurant in Miyazu

A perfect little seaside gem! Everything on arrival to departure was amazing! The room was spacious and comfortable, the beds especially! Was nice having a separate toilet to the bathroom. The bath has a recirculation system to keep the water hot so you don't have to keep topping up water and is istant to heat up.. amazing. The restaurant is just gorgeous and the design and layout just looks so beautiful and makes it so cosy and welcoming. We opted for a beef dinner and the hosts cooked up an absolutely amazing array of delicious dishes to accompany the wagyu beef! The amanohashidate chairlift is just behind the hotel and has great views and the ferry is just outfront of the hotel and takes you to the other side of miyazu for all the other amazing activities and you can walk back along the ocean walkway to the hotel! We cannot wait to return and cannot thank our hosts enough for such a wonderful stay! Love...

大学からの親友と二人で、次は天橋立に行くかと話していたのが、昨年の晩秋。たまたま都合がついたこの春。事前にネットでいろいろと宿を探した中で、この宿にたどり着きました。 天橋立の駅から、ビューランドに上がり股のぞき。文殊堂から徒歩で天橋立の松原を歩いて渡って、いよいよ籠屋の文字。 とっくに、ランチは終了していて、そもそも食事なしのコースだったにもかかわらず、「ウェルカムドリンクは何になさいますか？」の一声に、親友のあいつは、「では、一杯！」 その一言に、快く応じてくださり、まずは大ぶりの岩牡蠣、そして宿自慢の日本酒と地元の魚が次々と並びました。ウェルカムドリンクどころか、価値のある夕食となりました。オーナーご夫妻のおもてなしにかける意気込みや、この地に根ざしていく信念、そしてなによりもこの宿を一人でも多くの人に知ってほしい、楽しんでほしいという願いを感じさせる一言一言も、いい肴となりました。 2024年秋にオープンしたこの宿の売りは、それだけではありません。案内された部屋は、景色を堪能するというよりも、居心地のよさを最優先させたものでした。 翌日の朝食も大満足。朝から大きな鰤のかまがついた定食、もちろん昨日とは違う日本酒も添えられて。 なんと贅沢な一泊二日の旅だろうと思いながら、元伊勢籠神社そして成...
