Za Guran Resort Amanohashidate — Hotel in Miyazu

Traditional japanese hotel where the bath is shared (Yu). The room is nice and clean and relaxing too. I requested for the room on the third floor (though it’s good for probabbly 6 people), which gives a nicer view. :)

The stores and transport close really early, around 7pm, so buckle up and get yoir stuff done before 7pm :) only a few restos are available nearby past 8pm. Good for those with cars or rental cars/ bicycles etc. but not so much for commuting. Just take note of the direction and bus schedule. We booked a Japanese family room and we arrived about 6:00 pm. Our room was on 3rd floor, when the lift door opens, a strong fishy smell. The corridor were not air conditioned and it was hot. Our room is at the corner, had a stale atmosphere. It still summer and weather is incredibly hot, it would be helpful if the staff had prepared the room and cool it before we arrived. AC is not working well, the room was still not cool when we slept. We could not rest well. The mattress & bedding were not comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Overall it’s not worth a night...

The facility was a bit outdated but the great service, majestic view and the spacious room(with balcony) really make up for it. My European husband found the soft bed very good :) although the bathhouse was a bit outdated we preferred it way better than a tiny shower with little to no wiggle room. We loved our stay and we'd definitely love to come back.

Fyi, they have a microwave in the lobby, fridge and electric kettle in the room. All the amenities, like toothbrush, were there...
