cafe&zakka giraffa (カフェと雑貨 ジラッファ) — Restaurant in Moriyama

We visited this café with a small group of friends, but were immediately turned away and told they wouldn’t serve us because we were a “big group” and should have known to reserve ahead. The way it was communicated felt unnecessarily rude, especially since the café was completely empty at the time. We were confused—wouldn’t most places welcome more customers?

It’s unclear whether it was the owner or just a staff member, but either way, the interaction left a very poor impression. The lack of kindness and flexibility was disappointing. I really wish I could give 0 stars.

2023.11 ショッピングモール（ピエリ）の横に位置するカフェ。行った際には駐車場はそこそこ埋まっていたので人気店か！と思いきや客は誰もおらず。ピエリが満員御礼なので駐車場が停めにくく、ここの敷地の端の方に停めてピエリに行くという利用のされ方をどうもされているっぽい？あーだから店の入り口付近は空いていて、端の方の駐車場が埋まるという奇妙な停め方だったのね。

本格的なコーヒーが出てくるので、ネスレやAGF慣れしている人には意味が分からない味か。写真のように２層に分かれているコーヒー、これはアフォガードというもので上層は泡である。味も何となくビールっぽかった。量よりは質？…といったところか。しかし客が全然いないけど経営は大丈夫なのだろうか。料金は全体的に少し高め。

１Fがカフェで２Fが雑貨屋さんとなっている。雑貨は野晒しになっていて皿とかには埃も見られる。まぁしゃーないか…誰か買うかな？けど手作り感には誇りを持ってほしい。

余談だがGiraffaとはイタリア語でキリンを意味する。キリンは英語でGiraffeなので、店の看板を見て得意気に「これ英語でキリンって意味だよ～」とか言うと恥をかくことになる。でもまぁたぶん大半は知らないので大丈夫。 総合的には...
