A restaurant frequented more by the locals. No English menu but Goggle Translate saved the day. Ordered the salted grilled ayu, stir-fried pork and mussels. The mussels looked like it went through steaming and then topped with miso cheesy sauce. The salted grilled ayu (local bred pig) and stir fried pork is good and tender. The only problem I have is that their dishes are very heavily salted! However, it is still a good dinner. Worth exploring if the serving staff have the patience and tried explaining the dish. I just made their job easy with Google Translate and only asked if my selection has beef in it (I...

A nice hidden gem in the countryside.

The local dishes were really delish, slightly under seasoned so we had to add a bit salt and shichimi.

I wanted a miso soup on the side but they only had it with the set menu, which I thought was pretty inflexible.

We called around 7:40 and they said that they were able to accommodate us (2ppl) and last call for kitchen is at 8:30pm.

The bittermelon stirfry, the scallops, the salted fish on a sizzling platter were all so good, hope that the fried chicken cartilage was better.

We were the only non-local the whole evening. Service was prompt and good. Owner speaks little English but eager to help. We made the most out of the translate app and managed to order what we wanted. It was an adventure but we were glad we went. The moment we entered we were shocked to see the restaurant was packed. Kind of a relief as we knew for sure the food had to be good and well known among locals. Unlike others they were only packed...
