Kushitatsu Nagoya Ekinishiguchi — Restaurant in Nagoya

The good: The food was good. Perfectly cooked Yakitori. I did not have to wait for a seat with a party of two. The English menu was helpful and the process matched the Japanese menu (no gaijin tax).

The bad: They were sold out many things at 8:00pm. Service takes forever. We ordered rice, just regular futsu gohan... we had to ask again. Then two servings showed up after 20 minutes.

Reasonable prices. Good food. Convenient location. Slow service....

中文： 非常失望的一次用餐体验。菜单上有很多不透明的地方，比如汤品明明写的是一人份的价格，但英文说明“两人起”却藏在最下面不起眼的位置，结账才发现是两份的价格。串烧套餐也是，价格旁边写着日文的“2XX”，但没人提醒是两人份，结账又是双倍。

更离谱的是串烧的出餐速度，两个两个地上，每两串之间要等十几分钟，我们吃了4串就等了45分钟。问了才说这个套餐需要整整两个小时才能完成——8串烤串要2小时？如果一开始就说清楚，我们根本不会点。

而且味道也一般，鸡胸肉干柴，酱汁只有一种，咸得很，一点层次感都没有。

从汤品价格，到串烧的价格，再到出餐时间，全程没有任何解释或提醒，而且服务人员几乎不说英文。最后这一顿饭吃得又慢又不开心，还花了13000日元，甚至没吃饱，真的非常失望！

English: Really disappointing experience. The menu is full of unclear pricing. For example, the soup price is shown per person, but a tiny English line at the bottom says “minimum 2 people,” and we only found out when we were charged double. Same with the skewer set — the listed price seems like a set price, but turns out it’s per person, written in Japanese next to it with no clear explanation.

Even worse, the skewer set is served 2 at a time, extremely slow. We waited 45 minutes and only got 4 skewers. When we asked, they told us the full set takes 2 hours to complete — for 8 skewers?! No one explained this beforehand.

Also, the chicken breast was overcooked and dry, and every skewer uses the same salty sauce — no variety at all.

From pricing to portion size to waiting time, there was zero communication or explanation, and the staff doesn’t speak English. We left hungry, frustrated, and paid 13,000 yen for a bad meal. Not recommended, very...

Terrible experience. Only Japanese menu with no English support. Prices are not per person - they double everything for 2 people without explaining clearly.
