I wish I had spent more time researching hotels close to the Nagoya station, had I done so I probably wouldn't have picked this one. Lets start with the bad: |The rooms looked bigger in the pictures, and in reality were extremely dark due to the small (non-opening) windows, and the fact that our rooms were shaded by surrounding buildings. |The whole hotel has a dank and musty smell to it, especially prevalent in the guest rooms, worse in the bathroom. The carpets are worn and felt dirty. |We had booked a double room - and it was tiny. With our suitcases and two children there was barely any space to turn around. Bathroom was super small as well. ||The cleanliness wasn't the best compared to other Japanese hotels I've stayed in, especially when we moved the beds together there was some trash under the bed.|There is a worn sofa in the rooms with incredibly sharp edges that are almost the same height as the cushion; very easy to sit on by mistake and hurt your behind as two of my party did. There was only one pillow supplied initially per bed, but the staff were happy to provide an extra one when requested.||The kettle was not ideal; there was no way to make it boil if it already contained water, it would go into "warming" mode. Furthermore it was extremely slow. Last but not least: this hotel was expensive. Location was good, but it wasn't worth what we paid for it in my opinion. ||Now onto the good, the redeeming factors: the staff were excellent. Especially the girl on check-in. The breakfast was not included in our rate, but is reasonably priced at 1200yen per adult and actually was a fairly decent buffet (aside from the coffee which was weak). Again the staff were friendly and helpful here. There is a large selection of amenities in the lobby. I mentioned the location is only a stone throw from Nagoya station and close to the Shinkansen tracks. The rooms had a decent desk which was appreciated as I had some computer work I needed to do. |The hotel allowed us to have a late checkout for 1000yen per hour, which is very reasonable. ||All in all, this was unfortunately average-below average and I probably would not stay here again unless it was cheap and I was...
Read moreThank God we booked this hotel after our hotel before in Shin Osaka. ||The reception can speak English (not fluent but they can understand what we were saying), they also provide black coffee/latte coffee and tea in sachets, and we can take it freely in reception desk as we like. They also provide face mask by Kose (this is a good.product) free too.||The room (this is the important thing) is BIG! They also provide king size bed and if you need more pillow, you can ask the reception to bring it more.||There is also laundry room, which contained washing and dryer, but not free but the charge is still acceptable to pay. In this room they provide one vending machine and microwave to heat your food.||The shower room is also suitable for shower, not to.tiny but to big too. They also provided liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner, tooth brush, shaver, comb and cutton buds. For other amenities, can ask the reception.||They also provided breakfast, but we choose not take room with breakfast, because near hotel is a lot of restaurant (yoshinoya, Mc Donalds, and also little place which sell pork/chicken katsu with rice, that is soooo gooddd, just side by side with Lawson minimart).||The hotel's location is near everywhere, especially near the station (both subways and JR station). And if it is rainy day, you can walk around 2 mnts and go downstairs to the underground mall, connected to the station. Very easy!||Definetky will comeback again to this hotel.if I go to Nagoya......
Read moreBook a double room for a night as we were transitioning to another city the day after. Booked a double room and spaciousness was a major consideration in these business hotels. ||The room was spacious for the higher price we paid 26,000y per night. There was a 3 seater sofa and a massage chair in the room. You could have 3 open suitcases on the floor and still have space to walk about. ||The problem was that we booked a double bed and the bed was placed against a wall. In other words, the person sleeping beside the wall, had to crawl over the bed to get out of the bed. Why can’t they put the bed in the center of the room like most would do, so that both sides are accessible. ||Because the room was spacious, they had other unnecessary furniture in the room, resulting in the poor layout. ||Furthermore, there are 2 flight of steps from the elevator to the room floors? Who designs steps from elevator to the rooms ? Weird I thought.||Would not stay here at this...
