I've been here a few times since first coming back in December 2024. Each time, I try something different. Most recently, I went for the Indonesia Ache Signatured Mandheling G-1, hot. The quality of not only the flavor but the presentation was handled well. The barista gave me a good recommendation that suited my palate.
They rotate their coffee beans out from time to time, giving customers new flavors to try.
The interior and exterior are well-decorated, feeling warm and cozy. There is artwork, lights, coffee memorabilia, and a bicycle strewn across two floors. The music has been jazz every time I've gone, and I couldn't be happier about that. They also sometimes have a projector playing a movie on the back of the wall on the second floor. The second floor window has a seated bench area, allowing people to watch the traffic and relax.
The staff was attentive, consistently checking to make sure tables were clean and dishes were taken down to be washed.
I felt that the prices of the drinks and sweets were reasonable; about what I'd expect for a cafe experience in Nagoya.
I love this place, and I can't recommend it enough. If you're looking for a coffee experience that focuses on both the flavor and atmosphere of the cafe, go here.

Read moreWent here twice--first last year, and the second time just last week.
Last year we happened to visit on a very busy morning which resulted in a long wait (they had a full house upstairs at the time and everyone ordered sandwiches), but this time we went around 4:30PM. We were reminded that they'll be closing in an hour, and we told them that it's fine :)
We ordered their Flat White and Caramel Latte! Both were delicious and balanced. Coffee just how I like it! It's also easy to order through with the English titles in their menu.
Ambience is cozy, and you can browse magazines while staying there. You can also purchase coffee equipment.
We also tried their Caf Eau Lait base, which you needed to mix with milk or water. This is worth the price for us, and it served as our first good cup of coffee each morning. Worth it as the cafes in this area can be quite far or a bit of a walk! There's also no sugar added.
Will visit again when we go back...
Read moreThis place is indeed a hidden gem! It’s located on the opposite exit of the Nagoya Castle. It’s pretty small. But cold! Perfect for a hot Summer day. The coffee is a bit on the pricier side, but they’re sooooo good! They play really good music—the day I went there, they played the soundtrack of various Ghibli movies, which is always lovely to hear. On the second floor, there are paintings hung on the wall, and I’m sure that they are all for sale. They have wifi, and while it’s easy to connect to your laptop, it’s pretty hard to connect to your phone. The staffs don’t speak fluent English BUT they are very accommodating, and can understand you even when you speak in English. The bathroom in the second floor is huge and very clean!
For drinks, I recommend the Iced Caramel. For food, I really liked the Ham and Cheese sandwich, which they served with a salad...
