Very cool judicial building from 1922! Free to visit. A good place to reflect on Japan's adoption of European-style law and how they reflected societal change in architecture.

A beautiful building and nice place to visit but as many people have said and have left reviews about, there is little effort to have any English (the language of travel) or other languages for foreign visitors but that is pretty typical in Japan. Where as an exhibit will have a full description in Japanese it may just be labeled...

It was a good place, however not perfect. Honestly 99.9% of the information is NOT English. You can watch photos, books, things but without understating a single word. From 3 floors, only 1 was used. The other two were inactive. The place was quite cozy, so was a good experience, but has a...

A beautiful building and nice place to visit but as many people have said and have left reviews about, there is little effort to have any English (the language of travel) or other languages for foreign visitors but that is pretty typical in Japan. Where as an exhibit will have a full description in Japanese it may just be labeled ‘armor’ in English.

市政資料館の建物は大正時代に建てられたものだそうで、５０年ほど前まで実際に裁判所として使用されていたそうです。 煉瓦と花崗岩で出来た建物は色合いが鮮やかで、とても気に入りました。建物の中はさすがに古い感じがしますが、ところどころにステンドグラスなどが使われていたりと、味のある雰囲気でしたね。 国指定重要文化財にも指定されている建物だそうなので、時間のある方は一度行ってみると良いと思います。名鉄瀬戸線の東大手駅から徒歩で１０分も掛からないと思います。出口からなら５分程度ですかね。
