Oasis 21 in Nagoya is an amazing place, it's a cool place that mixes modern style with nature, and it's just beautiful. Oasis 21 has this futuristic glass roof that looks like a spaceship made of water. It keeps you dry if it rains and makes this place look fancy. Walking under when it's rainy outside is great simply because you won't get wet. There is a big water fountain in the middle, and you can walk on a clear platform above the water. The fountain does cool water shows. It's a perfect place to relax, watch people, walk or just enjoy the city. You can also do some shopping and eating there. I also liked the Nagoya TV Tower nearby. You can go up there and see the whole city. The view is amazing, and you can take awesome photos. Oasis 21 very often has events like concerts and art shows. It's a lively place where you can feel the energy of the city. Oasis 21 is a place you shouldn't or won't miss. It's a mix of modern, nature, and culture. I liked it, and I can't wait to go back.

It's a great place to stop by, since it's right next to Sakae Subway Station. For lunch, there are conveyor belt sushi restaurant, pasta restaurant, McDonald's and some cafes. Chinese restaurant is also available and good. There is a dollar store, which is convenient for small purchases such as children's hair accessories and seasonal decorations. There is a Thirty-One ice cream shop, which my kids and American husband love. When the weather is nice, we buy ice cream and eat it outside on the lawn next to Oasis 21. There are some benches there too. Sometimes there are cosplayers and the kids enjoy looking for the characters they know. It wouldn't be a destination for a daytrip, but it's definitely a good place to come by like a rest stop.

It's the most beautiful (at night) part of Sakae. It was established in 2002, as an environmentally friendly multi-level park of unique architecture with a “Space ship Aqua” as its symbol. It is a huge circular glass structure filled with water which makes wonderful flows of light. You can enjoy the walk around this glass structure above the ground. The ground level features the green field, with amazing trees and flowers where you can just sit on a bench and relax in the beautiful surroundings. It is also the place for numerous shops and restaurants located below, or you can choose to see some of the performances they often organize in the evenings. Closest metro station is Sakae Station (Higashiyama Line and the Meijo Line).

Oasis21 consists of rooftop Spaceship-Aqua, Field of Green on the ground level, Bus Terminal on the first floor, and Galaxy Platform and shops in the basement level. The symbol of Oasis21 is Spaceship-Aqua, a representative landmark of Japan, and Field of Green is a precious space for recreation in the heart of the city. Also, Oasis21 is Nagoya’s transportation hub, possessing a Bus Terminal where a large number of bus lines stop in addition to direct connections to Sakae Station on the subway and Sakaemachi Station on Nagoya Railroad. Getting to nearby facilities is simple both above ground and below via accessway, escalators, and elevators.

A great hangout place in Nagoya. Basically a very unique architechtured mall which has great view from its top over the whole area, and the roof area itself it very beautiful and colourful. The mall itself has any types of popular tourism shops such as JUMP's store and Ghibli studio's store and has a big variety for its food section. It also has a big ice skating area in the middle of it (discounted during week days) and next to it a small stage which would have live performances of popular local artists. Overall it's been a very unique and interesting place to hang around and I know I'll be coming back.
