NOT FOREIGNER FRIENDLY I met a friend here for coffee and brunch. We sat outside and placed our order through the QR code. A younger staff member politely told us the outdoor seating was closed but we could order inside. As we prepared to move inside the cafe, an older woman staff member came out and was very rude. She bustled around grabbing the menus off the table and kept saying “no” “dame dame” and muttering to herself in Japanese. I’m not sure if it’s because we’re foreigners and maybe she thought we couldn’t understand what she was saying, but we both speak + understand Japanese and it was extremely off putting and disrespectful. Although the food was delicious, and the meat tender and cooked to perfection, customers have to spend an extra ¥400 on a drink. I only wanted water, so had to pay a charge of ¥300 in addition to my original charge. I for one despise being ripped off in this way, so won’t be back.
