目利きの銀次 新都心本舗 — Restaurant in Naha

We arrived at the restaurant right at the timing of our reservation. Before I took my seat my friend put down the water bottle from hotel, got attention from the staff immediately, saying bringing outside drinks/food is prohibited. (Hello! It’s just a water bottle!!) Then he brought the menu and pointed to the page which has several foreign languages printed, explaining to us in Japanese (and of course we understand Japanese completely), yet he still talked to us with kind of warning tone and not very nice attitude at all. I have to admit I made the reservation to this joint because I thought the interior design was cool when I saw some post on instagram. I didn’t read comments here on google, which I wish I had. The food is nothing special. That staff’s attitude to other Japanese customers is much more normal. For the brief time we were there, actually the rate of foreign customers is higher than Japanese customers. We ordered two drinks and four dishes, didn’t feel like staying there any longer than we have to. Definitely no 2nd...

Average service with average food and drink. Obviously it is not deserved to go again. Location is not easily accessible, except you have a car or rent a taxi! We can order via a qr code with different languages, but can’t login unless you have a LINE account. The internet network is not good there, but the service provider did not mention the wifi password, such that we could not order the food smoothly. The hard copy menu in hand is very dirty, which further makes me dissatisfied. The dishes(e.g. sashimi) are relatively small in terms of size. The only dish that I recommend is the “Mentiko Onigiri”,with lots of ingredients and the fried rice. It is very palatable and we order twice. The cashier(probably is the manager) is very dissatisfied (e.g. head shake) when we paid 20000 yen for the payment of 11650 yen. If we went a convenience store for the large amount of change, I would say it is a problem. It is suggested to post an additional gentle reminder to refuse all the cash payment (like a case...

The most disappointing Okinawa restaurant ever. DO NOT RECOMMEND TOURISTS TO VISIT.

Even if you have reservations, they won’t let you have upstairs seats, and there’re lots of seats. They even closed the upper side 2.5 hours before closing. ( and also the last order at 9:30pm)

The food is marked up and expensive relatively( okinawa has too many nice and high quality izakaya. Recommend花ずみ

Fried rice probably the best dish I have there, others are too salty even with alcohol. (Mentaiko rice dumplings, Anything with sauce.)

And the toast, red beans seemed to be sugar coated( I prefer honey) and they are super normal…
