When you walk in the smell of sweet, fresh bread is overwhelmingly delightful. There was a steady stream of locals the entire time we were here. No indoor seating, but outdoor seating is available. We came 8-9am on a Saturday and there was a small queue, but not too long. The lady working the counter was lovely, gentle, and can speak some English. We ordered two quiches (1 dried tomato and 1 bacon) and a walnut-raisin-cream cheese bread. 5/5 Quiche- Absolutely delicious. Buttery, flavorful, flakey and fresh. Strongly recommend. 4/5- Walnut-raisin-cream cheese bread- almost like a flavored bagel pre stuffed with cream cheese. Also very delicious. Crunchy outside and soft inside. I took one star away (from food rating) because there was no coffee available, maybe they don’t offer coffee anymore, despite us seeing coffee/ espresso machines. Stop by and pick up breakfast if you are...
Read moreIf you are staying in downtown Naha, near Kokusai-Dori, I highly recommend this Boulangerie. We stayed at the Hotel Strata, and this was a 900 meter walk from our hotel. We were so happy that they were open early (7:00am at time of writing) and had such high quality baking. As a Canadian, we were looking for a sweet little locally owned shop to have our breakfast each day, and this place perfectly answered that. They were careful to listen to a nut allergy in the family, and the baking was VERY affordable. What we paid ¥1,800 yen for here, we would pay ¥5,000 in Canada. Highly recommend if you are looking to support a local bakery/Boulangerie that is open early and has...
Read moreDon't walk . . . run to it before the line starts. Chef/Owner Takakura is gracious and welcoming when you walk into his small bakery. Everything is fresh on the hour and you would be hard pressed to find a better French bakery in France. We had a multiple array of what was available and with an ice coffee we were in heaven. This place is an easy two thumbs way up with Zero...
