Short review: AVOID this restaurant at all costs. FAKE REVIEWS, tourist trap, overpriced, with EXTREMELY BAD attitude and the WORST SERVICE ever experienced.
Long review: Our family decided to dine at this restaurant based on its online reviews and convenient location, just a few minutes' walk from the Hyatt hotel. However, the service we received did not match the glowing reviews we had read. It was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience we've had in Okinawa. Upon arriving at the restaurant, a staff member checked whether we had a reservation and how many of us would be dining. She then instructed us to wait outside the restaurant, promising to seat us shortly. Despite waiting for over 20 minutes, no one came out to assist us. Frustrated, I went inside to inquire about the delay, only to be told once again to "wait a minute" by the same staff member, who seemed to have forgotten about us. Eventually, another woman wearing a kimono, whom I assumed was the manager, emerged. However, she spoke little to no English and was unable to understand my questions. Instead, she took out a sign to placed towards to my face, the the sign was indicating that the restaurant was fully reserved. Then she rudely asked us to leave, placing the sign outside the door before returning inside. We were shocked and appalled by the level of service we encountered. It became clear to us that many of the glowing five-star reviews online were likely fake. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this establishment and seek out alternative dining options nearby. Fortunately, there are numerous other restaurants in the area that are sure to leave you with a smile...
Read moreThe restaurant is located on the 3rd floor. It's obviously a high quality place with private dining rooms. You're paying for umami. This restaurant is for people that want to take the time to appreciate the quality of meat and each bite. It's not an all-you-can eat bbq place so don't come starving unless you have lots of money to blow. I recommend you make a table reservation, which I was able to do in English from their website. It also means I get a 5% discount when I pay the check, so definitely a plus. I enjoyed the Ryukyu no Ushi Special Dinner Set with the luxury option of 10 kinds of yakiniku because it offered 7 kinds of Okinawan wagyu beef (5,980yen). It was pretty tasty. The infrared bbq means it takes the meats longer to cook but they retain the juiciness and flavor, you don't accidentally burn meats, and you won't leave smelling bbq. I might prefer Saga-gyu and Bungo-gyu from Kyushu, but this is a nice treat for people that enjoy or want to try wagyu. I also liked the set included some Okinawan food elements like the potato crisps in the salad and the soup. Also, there was nikujaga, which is traditional Japanese home-cooking fare (translates to meat and potatoes), which most foreigners will not have the chance to try. The panna cotta for dessert was also yum. Come here for a...

This resto caters to Japanese as well as tourists, menus are available in multiple languages. English ability of the staff varies, but they have a translator device (and you can always opt for Google Translate).
Lots of Taiwanese families enjoying themselves when I visited.
The dinner sets are a great value, and unless you have really high caloric intake you should be fine. I recommend getting through the course before deciding to add extras à la carte.
They use a dual heating element grill which hi is the meat on a low temp, fat drips into a pool of oce water and I did not have any problems with burnt grill or beef fat catching on fire.
The beef sushi and sashimi were divine and would be something I'd add if I had the capacity to eat more 😅.
Service was mostly good, but speaking too much English seemed to cause confusion. If you aren't able to speak enough Japanese then stick with the translator app/device to avoid wasting time.
Make a reservation in advance as is the...
