【静けさの中のピザタイム】 Shima Terrace offered exactly what we needed: a peaceful, satisfying lunch before heading into the indulgence of a ryokan stay. Nestled by the roadside with ample parking and a sunny terrace, it felt like a hidden resting spot designed for travelers who know how to pace a day just right.

The Shima Terrace Pizza—bacon, egg, and mushrooms on a crisp crust—arrived quickly and was beautifully savory, rich enough to be memorable but light enough to whet the appetite for what was to come. The mocha, while a touch heavy on the cream for my taste, still hit the mark as a cozy afternoon companion.

What made the visit especially lovely was the dog-friendly terrace and attentive staff. They welcomed our pup with a bowl of fresh water, no fuss, just quiet hospitality. It’s the kind of detail that makes a place feel generous without trying too hard.

Such a lovely restaurant. Loved the interior and ambiance of the place. The staffs were very nice too. We ordered the Shima Terrace Pizza, Baked Cheesecake with Strawberry & Chocolate, Iced Latte & Keep It Blue Drink. The food was really delicious. Would love to visit again someday. Enjoyed our meal here.

I always go to this cafe/restaurant every time I visit Shima Onsen. The restaurant is located in a convenient area, close to the bus stops and in the center of the town. The Shima Terrace Pizza was good but the star of the meal was the Shima Terrace Salad. I wanted to try the Chocolate Cheesecake but it was already sold out (very sad). I ordered the regular basque cheesecake instead. The matcha latte could be better. I will visit again if i'm around the area and will recommend this...
