My stay at Nara Royal Hotel Park was absolutely fantastic! The highlight for me was definitely the amazing food buffet that catered to every taste imaginable. Whether you're into vegetarian dishes, meats, or seafood, they have it all in both Japanese and Western styles. The variety is incredible, and the quality is top-notch.
The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, perfect for two people with a separate bedroom and a comfortable work area with a nice desk and chair. The bathroom is equally spacious, ideal for a relaxing bath after a day of exploring.
One of the highlights of the hotel is the onsen, which offers a serene and rejuvenating experience for both men and women.
The reception staff and all the hotel workers were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home throughout our stay.
Location-wise, it's conveniently close to Nara Park, a pleasant 30-50 minute walk away. There's also a Lawson convenience store and a 2nd Street shop just a short 10-minute stroll from the hotel, making it super convenient for any last-minute needs.
If you're looking to explore further, Shinomiya Station is nearby with plenty of dining options, including restaurants open late into the night. Even at 2 AM, you can find delicious food to satisfy any craving.
Overall, Nara Royal Hotel Park exceeded my expectations in every way possible. I can't wait to come back and...
Read moreThis hotel is an easy (terrain wise, it’s not signposted but my iPhone maos app made short work of that) ten minute flat walk from Kintetsu Shin Ōmiya station. It’s in a very quiet suburb one stop away from Kintetsu Nara, the closest train station to Nara Park. The palace ruins are visible from the train between Yamato Saidaiji and Shin Ōmiya. The hotel itself is large, with reasonably sized room and bathroom compared to some in Japan. The lobby is gigantic, and features a gift shop and a bar with a man made waterfall just outside. It’s slightly dated splendour, but the air conditioning/heating is new, the beds are comfy and the staff are very friendly. The front desk staff largely speak English, the bar staff don’t. The green tea dough pizza was yum though! The breakfast is plentiful and varied- very Japanese, even the ‘western’ options, but tasty. This hotel is a great option if you don’t mind walking with your case, want to be out of the hustle and tourist rat race, and value having space in a quiet locale. The one downside was that the scent of cigarette smoke was...
