So, I pulled up to this joint in my ride around 3 pm on a Saturday, looking for a late lunch. As expected, this place is usually packed at noon, but it was empty at this time. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, even if you're a newbie. They'll explain everything in detail, so you don't have to worry about feeling lost.
I ended up ordering the "Today's steak 340g middle big steak" and a salad. The meat of the day was shoulder loin, and you could choose from 5 different sauces or a special butter. I went with the butter because all the seasonings were already on the table. The salad was not all-you-can-eat, but they gave me a generous aluminum pot of veggies to load up on. Then, there were three types of dressings to choose from: Japanese style, mayonnaise, and Thousand Island, plus croutons and onion chips in a glass container.
When the steak arrived, it was served on a not-too-thick iron plate with a large piece of meat sticking out and a side of corn. I had a feeling this was going to be a challenge because the meat was so big, and unfortunately, there were some cold parts. Plus, since it was a shoulder loin, there were some tough bits that were hard to cut through with a knife. But overall, the meat was soft and flavorful, with some deliciously fatty bits.
There were two types of self-serve soup, garlic flavor and onion flavor. The garlic flavor was a bit too bitter for my taste, but the onion flavor was spot on. The rice was served first, and the refill was self-serve. It was tasty and had a great texture. After finishing the steak, I added some rice to the plate, mixed it with the corn, and seasoned it with broth, salt, and black pepper. It was a tasty little concoction, if I do say so myself.

   Read moreThe price is definitely cheap for a steak lunch. I had the 240 g steak and it was a cheap cut. The steak was actually pretty tender. My hubby had a better cut and that was not hard as well. It came with corn and all you can eat Japanese white rice and they had two types of soup. One was a garlic soup and the other one was like a Chinese soup.
One thing I was really impressed with is that they have an email notification system. So you go to the place and get your ticket after you put in how many people are in your party. On the actual ticket thereâs an QR code Which brings you to a page where you can ask to get an email when your seat is ready. So I opted for that and I actually was able to run to the nearby drive-through car wash and by the time I was finished I got an email notifying me that my seat will be available soon so when we headed back we went inside to show them the ticket and they were able to seat us right away. I think in total there was about 20 to 30 minutes from the time that I got my ticket to the time that I returned to be seated.
The place is a little dated and looks a little dirty. The usual that you will find in Japan, with an establishment like this.
