guys i’m not kidding it smells so good in there. it’s also right next to the baumkuchen pastry shop so the second you walked near the two stores, you were literally bombarded by the most delicious, sweet, buttery aroma ever. i wish i could LIVE in there because of how good it smells. it’s a clean, quaint little shop too. the baumsoft “nikko soy sauce” was yummy, but the baumkuchen was kinda like a crispy texture. i’m sure that’s how the dessert is supposed to be, but i love baumkuchen because of how soft the cake usually is, so this one wasn’t for me. okay update i went back and tried the assortment of baumkuchen and it was incredible. it was served piping hot and the baumkuchen was so soft i almost cried. they’re the perfect level of sweetness and every bite was HEAVEN. here’s my ranking of the four flavours i tried: 1. chocolate 2. hachiya (plain) 3. rock 4. strawberry
