Footbath cafe Esupo — Restaurant in Nikko

Who would have thought there's such a beautiful place? I believe there'll be more people during the peak season but when we were there (in May '18), we had the whole place to ourselves haha. Located right next to the entrance of Kinu Tateiwa Otsuribashi (Suspension bridge), you'll get to enjoy the wonderful view of the bridge and nature with a drink.

The ESPO foot bath is actually a Cafe attached with Hotel Sunshine. However you don't have to be a Hotel guest to enjoy this facility. There aren't much choice of food - it's basically western finger food such as coney dog, fries etc. There are better drink options - from ice blended coffee to local Kinugawa beer. Good view of the mountains and river with free public parking right next to it. Decent tea, coffee, and dessert offerings the same as any other bog standard cafe in Japan. The local soda they serve is delicious. The staff is friendly. The foot bath was dirty. We could see a lot of dead skin. The water does not flow. So the dead skin clumps disgustingly in the stagnant, tepid water. It also smelled so bad. The french fries were so greasy. The staff was nice. Don't come here.
