Sakura — Restaurant in Nikko

We stayed at Nikko Station Classic Hotel and we wanted to try hotel’s Japanese restaurant. The place was nice and the staff were friendly. However, the menu was limited, only 3 main dishes. We ordered bento set, seafood don and 2 sashimi dishes with rice and miso soup. The bento though looked nice with varieties of food i.e. sashimi, tempura, Yuba tofu etc. but each with small portion and the taste was not very good as we expected. Seafood don was quite good but the rice was not tasty. Sashimi dish was ok and quite fresh. Overall, it was good experience to enjoy dinner in onside hotel you stayed. BTW, the price was not...

Juicy generous slices of pork tenderloin coated with the right thickness of crispy panko breadcrumbs. The extra crispness of these Tonkatsu can be heard almost instantly when you sink your teeth to enjoy your meal here. Ambience was welcoming and serving was at standard speed. As always I requested for additional serving of finely shredded cabbage, staying healthy while enjoying a dish of top 10 favourite dishes...

Fine and comfortable restaurant that's attached to the hotel. I was too tired to go look for food and this was very convenient. The price is reasonable. Not a large variety of food selection but sufficient on serving its purpose. It's menu is similar to any typical sushi restaurant in the area and price is similar too.
