We were searching for a place to have dinner on New Year’s Eve and stumbled upon this restaurant. We were delighted to find it open and accommodating for a special evening like this. Service and Amenities 😊 Water, wet towels, and hot tea are self-service and complimentary, adding a thoughtful touch to the dining experience. Dishes Ordered 🍚 We tried two types of sashimi rice bowls: 1) Tuna with Ikura Don 2) Seafood Don Presentation and Portions The rice portions were generous, and the presentation of each set was visually appealing. Each set came with three small seasonal side dishes: - Dashi with cabbage. - A steamed root vegetable. - Tuna mayo with potatoes. A bowl of miso soup was also included with the set. Taste and Quality 🐟 The sashimi was fresh and clean-tasting, with no lingering fishiness. The ratio of sashimi to rice was roughly 1:1, making it balanced yet slightly average in terms of flavour. While the sashimi bowls were decent, they didn’t stand out as extraordinary. The pricing is slightly above average for the quality and portion size. Final Thoughts 😊 Although the sashimi rice bowls were satisfactory, I might explore their cooked dishes if I return in the future. Their pork stir-fry rice and grilled fish options seem particularly enticing based on what I saw. 😋

A little Japanese diner with food that tastes like homemade. You can tell the owner puts efforts into keeping the place tidy and cozy, and present the food with care. Miso cod is very flavourful and tasty but small portion - I can probably eat two. The price is much cheaper than hirafu, so I don’t mind the slightly smaller portion. The other fish and pork bentos seem to be bigger in portion and just at delicious! Highly recommended! I came back three days in a row. Help yourself with some hot tea and note that the owner doesn’t speak English at all. Use Google translate and try not to give too much customizing instructions because he won’t get it hahaha.

I found one of the most underrated places in niseko! I mean like cmon it served amazing food and no one goes there! 🐷 🍚 The best dish was the pork don because it was so flavourful and for 1200 yen u get soup and side dishes! Highly recommend! The bluefin tuna was super fresh and one of the best I’ve had in Japan! Miso gindara was super flavourful and tender! Side dishes were amazing my favourite was the pumpkin because it was so soft and sweet! I hope u guys can visit this place and support this business. Bear in mind it’s a one man job so waiting time can be a bit long but it’s SUPER worth it!!!!! 👍 👍
