Zen — Restaurant in Nishinoshima

Disgraceful. My wife (who is Asian) stepped in the door of the restaurant first and the owner said welcome. Then I stepped in behind her and he shouted at me aggressively and loudly to get out! It was very embarrassing and hurtful, especially as all the other customers were staring at me. I have absolutely no idea why he did this, so I can only presume that it is because he is a rude, uneducated racist pig with bad manners (because it was still 2 hours before closing time and there were other customers in there). The event put a sour note on an otherwise wonderful experience in Nishinoshima, so I would recommend that other non-Japanese visitors to the island take their custom to alternative, more enlightened and welcoming restaurants....

Had a great dinner after biking along the Island here. They have everything from fresh sushi to fried chicken. I had the latter. It was fantastic and for 900 yen!!...
