I met the most rude Japanese person here - the restaurant staff. I stayed in hotel side for a night and wanted to store my luggages temporarily at the reception after check out, the staff saw me standing and waiting, even i said “excuse me” she totally ignored me. I stood there for at least 5 mins she just did not bother to answer my question. At last i found another staff in the hotel side and he talked to the restaurant staff and finally she instructed me where to store the luggages unwillingly.
Just want to say i did not have any food there, so i have no comment on food. I stayed in their hotel for a night. It was a really nice stay and the hotel staffs are really nice. Hope that the management could hire a more polite...
Read more(Restaurant Review): Tucked away at the very back end of Ginzan Onsen village, round a right corner, visitors who are patient enough to choose this restaurant (over any of the restaurants closer to the village entrance) will be rewarded with a dining space that has an exclusive view of the village waterfall.
Like much of the food in this area, the menu was simple and the food incredibly well made with minimal additives: the soba had a natural flavour and good chew, the broth was clean, and the tempura light and crisp. We also tried out a small bottle of local sake.
We suggest taking your time to enjoy the sit down meal and view of the waterfall before joining back with the busy village...

The view can be nice, but that doesn’t help the food that much. It seems to be chronically understaffed so the waiting time was pretty long. The price of food was ok. I’d say look somewhere else...
