Indian Machinaka — Restaurant in Obihiro

Don't make the same mistake I did and assume this is an Indian-theme/style/taste restaurant. It is purely Japanese curry in slightly different configurations. The main seller on the menu is the "Indian Curry" which is actually subtitled as "Original Beef Curry", a bit ironic in my book, if you know the relationship between most Indians and beef. I ordered mine with cheese as an optional topping. I was disappointed that what I got was simply a slice of what looked like your general processed cheese from the grocery store. I've been enjoying Indian curry for over six years now every time I visit the eastern part of Hokkaido. Japanese curry is one of my favorite foods but Indian Curry is certainly up there with the best . The prices are very reasonable, and the curry itself is bursting with flavor. You can also customize the spiciness to your liking, the second spiciest option here is about a 3 or 4 on the Coco Ichibanya scale. The service is also exceptional - always quick and friendly.
