Visiting from the United States, eating at this "American" style steakhouse in Japan was an interesting experience for me. With two USA flags on the sign, you'd think they'd be going for authenticity, but it's a far cry from Texas Roadhouse or traditional steakhouses back home. Not saying it was bad, but definitely not authentic.
What they got right:
They were playing country music from the States. The decor felt a bit American with traditional wood tables and theming. My friend had a steak and he said it was pretty good and at least a decent facsimile of an American version.
Things they got wrong:
I ordered a cheeseburger, but it didn't have a bun and it tasted more like meatloaf with some weird ketchup like stuff on it mixed with cheese. It wasn't great. A hamburger should have a bun.
All the meals were brought out covered and sizzling. I've never seen an American steakhouse serve food in that manner. In America, sometimes Mexican fajitas will be served in that style, but not steaks.
The side dishes were totally not American at all. We don't drink a cup of broth with our meal, and we definitely don't eat white rice. Add some thick cut French fries, mashed potatoes, corn bread, cole slaw, or green beans to the menu if you really want to be American style.
Everyone had to put on large white paper bibs. No self-respecting cowboy would ever wear those things.
Overall:
I'm not knocking this place. It was clean, very very reasonably priced, and the service was good. I know they have to serve the local audience, but for a place with two American flags on the sign, you'd think it would be a little more authentic. 熱々の鉄板でハンバーグやステーキが食べられ、鉄板料理を注文すればドリンクバーとご飯は食べ放題となり、食べ盛りの男の子達はお腹いっぱいになり、コスパもリーズナブルなので主婦としては有難いお店です(^^)
9月までお店の雰囲気も店員さんも良い方ばかりだったのですが‥ 最近、愛想の良い女性店員さんが2人も辞めてしまったm(T^T) いつも、元気に明るく丁寧に気さくに話してくれて、家族5人で行くとみんなバラバラな注文を全て覚えていてくれ、いつものですね‼️と本当に嬉しかった。
それ以外にも全ての従業員が居なくなり、学生の愛想の無いバイトばかりになり、新人ばかりで提供に時間がかかりショック(T^T)
平日でガラガラなのに、テーブルは片付いておらず待たされ、席に付いて注文したら提供までに40分、やっと食べれると思ったら、違う商品が‥これ以上待つのも嫌だから間違えて来た商品を食べた。
会計したら、金額を間違え、スタンプも押印が少ない┐('~`;)┌ どうやら、こちらの店舗内で色々とあった様で‥
何でだ‼️厨房は男性で良いが、表回りは華のある女性が適している。長年一生懸命働いた従業員を大切にしない店舗なのだろう(T_T)
