SALT-石川食堂 — Restaurant in Okayama

We’ve been to Ishikawa’s restaurant a handful of times now and every time, we leave his shop feeling full and healthy. The shop’s interior is very welcoming. Just a heads up that there are only counter seats- no tables and the inside of the shop is a little bit narrow. Anyways, the food here is delicious and the only meat that is served is fish. Ishikawa-san and his staff are friendly and like to explain the dishes in detail. The are also eager to answer any questions we may have about the food/dish preparations. We stopped here on a whim while looking for some vegetarian friendly options and I’m so glad we did! The prices were a little higher than your average place, but the quality of the ingredients, the uniqueness of the dishes, and the care of the owners was very much worth it!
