Googled best Chiya beef in Okayama and this restaurant came about. It’s nearby our hotel and se we gave it a try. Located at one of the alleys and you won’t guess that there is such restaurant there.
When we entered the place there were seats inside small private rooms which instantly gave us the legit-authentic Japanese dining experience.
The staff were nice enough to offer us English menu and tried to explain as much as they can, although it’s quite straightforward.
We ordered short rib extra premium A5 Chiya beef and short rib beef. Both were amazing, to be honest if not tried side by side I won’t be able to tell the difference. But it’s really amazing, melts inside your mouth and probably the best beef I have tried in years.
The price is also very affordable. And to be honest the quality is way more than what you pay for.
High recommended! And I believe this place is underrated. We’ll definitely come back...

The manager and an employee only had us and one other customer to serve, we understand language barriers can be tough sometimes but it really seemed the manager and employee were overwhelmed with two customers and super exasperated to talk with us.

Their fatty meats which Japan is famous for for their melt in your mouth quality like hida matsusake and Kobe were very chewy and not so delicious. The only cuts to shine were lean. We paid around 7300 yen for 2 pieces of tongue 6 pieces of Kalbi 4pieces of rump and 2 pieces of center filet mignon as well as some kimchi. This makes it one of the more expensive yakiniku joints we’ve been to.
Lunch might be a better value but alas we...
Read moreSaw a blogger who highly recommended this place for Chiya beef & finally we got to taste the most delicious beef ever!! We were blown away by the quality & the texture of the meat!! The seasoning was well executed & it was worth the money! It was so good that we repeated the Chiya beef orders! 😜😜 The boss was kind enough to allow us to dine-in since we did not make any reservation. He was very observant & checked on our dining experience. He also explained the renowned Chiya beef ranking in whole of Japan to us. The staffs were friendly & courteous too. We definitely left this place with a delightful gourmet experience & we would love to return again! *Due to the limited seating capacity at the restaurant, it is advisable to make a reservation before you pay a visit to avoid...
