CoCo Ichibanya — Restaurant in Okinawa

My first time trying curry on island and I was not disappointed. We had the handmade chicken cutlet, added cheese and a side of garlic cheese naan. I opted for an additional piece of tempura shrimp 😋. I chose a spice level 2 which was spicy but bearable. Hubby got spice level 4(he can handle spicy) and he said it was pretty spicy. Next time we’ll order a smaller rice size(you can choose rice size as well). My favorite part was the meaty cheese that was through the curry no was delicious addition to dip the naan in. We love this place! The curry is really good and it’s really easy to customize what you want (which isn’t the case in many Okinawan restaurants). You must be a little cautious on the spice level, I felt like playing it safe and going middle of the road, so I asked for 5 (spice levels 1-10 is what I thought) it felt like I had just put hot lava in my mouth. Being a man though I pushed on thru! Found out later that spice levels run mild, then 0-10. I get a 2 now and still sweat like it’s the middle of July in Alabama! Definitely a place to eat here, a must try! Just don’t go crazy...

It's a CoCo's! there isn't much I can add to a review, other than that if the black garlic sauce is available you should definitely order that with your meal. Delicious.

Also, I picked up some spoons and curry packets for my brother since he loves CoCo's, thinking I could just order some stuff for myself online when I got back home. Yeah, no. I don't really see where that is an option on their site. So stock up when you're here, or have friends send you a...
