一番鮨 — Restaurant in Omachi

Ripped off foreigners.

I paid for 2 pieces of salmon (300jpy x2), 2 pieces of tuna (420jpy x2)and 1 temaki tuna (270jpy) for 1,815 JPY (after tax). The only restaurant owner/chef, who was an old man, misled people to think that 1x sushi = 2 pieces on 1 plate by having the sign “average sushi per piece is 160 jpy” and photos of 2 pieces of same sushi type on a plate. Throughout the whole time I was in the restaurant, he kept pretending to “misunderstand” that we ordered 1,600 jpy “drink all you can” or “2,000 yen set meal”, when I ordered only just 1 temaki for 270jpy. I had to call him out for it. For that 5 items I ate, you can easily get it for under 1,000 jpy at any other sushi restaurant.
