Best place we have eaten at on our trip to Japan. The owner wanted to talk to us even though he did not speak much English. We got out Google translate to "talk" to the owner and had a great time. We do not speak any Japanese besides basic phrases, but one of the hosts helped us chose dishes. We had the 5 kinds of sashimi plate, the shrimp and veggie tempora, and the "savory egg custard" (the best translation we could find). It was some of the best...

This restaurant gave me the best food experience I had in Osaka. First of all, the food was delicious. Especially the sashimi, since it was very fresh and cut thick. But more than that I was really surprised how nice and warm-hearted the Taishou and his wife, Okamisan was. They treated me like a grand-son really interested in my life as a bilingual person. I really appreciate how they made my day, and hope to visit them again...

Excellent food and even better hospitality. Fresh delicious sashimi options. Highly recommended on your next trip to Osaka. My family enjoyed a delicious meal here and hoped to return before returning to the states. Unfortunately our plans changed and we headed out of Osaka earlier than originally planned so were unable to eat here a second time. We will for sure be back on our next...
