1 Pound Steak & Hamburg Takeru Fukushima — Restaurant in Osaka

As an American traveling through Japan, I usually stick to local Asian cuisine—but 1 Pound Steak & Hamburg Takeru in Fukushima absolutely blew me away. I ordered the 3 x 100g burger steaks and was honestly shocked by how good they were—better than any I’ve had in the U.S. The flavor, the texture, and the unique concept made this a meal to remember. I paired it with rice and curry, poured the curry on top, and it turned into pure mouthwatering goodness.

To top it off, the service was incredible. Masaki, my server, went above and beyond—super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I left full, happy, and already wanting to come back. 100% recommend this spot—even if you’re focused on Japanese food, this place is a can’t-miss.

We stumbled across a hamburger place while exploring the area near our hotel. Although there was an hour wait for a table, the restaurant staff made up for it with their excellent service. When we ordered the "Unlimited" burgers, the team went out of their way to accommodate us, allowing us to place orders even after the last order time if required. To ensure our experience in Japan was memorable, they also provided each of us with a drink of our choice and really took care of us.

Simple as it is, the hamburger patties were juicy and flavorful, and there was a variety of sauces to enhance the taste. the steak is in short, well cooked for so-so meat. I have a feeling that the hamburger or other more japanese style meat dishes might taste better. the sauces were all good, especially takeru original gravy and something similar to chimichurri. They offer about 15 options from classic salt and pepper to curry and yuzu.
