The wafting aroma of five spice envelops you as soon as you walk into the shop. The food we ordered was all delicious and jasmine tea brought back memories of childhood sitting at a large round table covered in a white cloth, pouring, passing dishes around with a lazy susan. We ordered lu ruo fan with boiled dumplings and niu rou mian with jasmine tea set for ¥2550 and ate pretty well. The beef noodles had a surprising amount of beef in it for being Japan, including some tendon which was delicious. It is a Japanese couple, but the man has studied for several years in Taiwan and fell in love with the Taiwanese cuisine and traditional way of healing people with plants, so he imported this know-how to Osaka. The food was great, there are also vegetarian options (just ask the lady), and the atmosphere is very cozy : it feels a bit like home. The homemade umeshu (plum wine) was exquisite and the overall price was more than reasonable. I definitely recommend...
