Tatemoto — Restaurant in Osaka

Our first time fugu cuisine experience and it was a blast. Thanks to the fresh ingredients, rich menu design and super friendly and helpful staff, we started our Japan definitely on a high note. Recommend to take the full menu - although it is a ton of food really and you might feel very full in the middle of the nabe, you get to taste all dish varieties of the fish and will see that they all have distinct characteristics. If you come with a budget, the must order single items imo are fried fugu (top deli), sashimi fugu and hotpot. We are foreigners who don't speak full Japanese and everything went well. The staff has translation device to make communication magically smooth and fun. Also the highlight was our service lady, she is so friendly and kind!!! Tatemoto ist das mit Abstand beste Fugu Restaurant, welches Japan zu bieten hat! Wir hatten das Menü B, bei dem unterschiedliche Teile des Kugelfisches - in den ersten vier Gängen als Sashimi, halbgar, gar sowie schließlich als Brühe zum Porridge - serviert wurden. Der letzte Gang umfasste ein Dessert. Jeder einzelne Gang war vorzüglich abgeschmeckt. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder! Für diejenigen Leser, die noch nie Fugu probiert haben: Es ist der köstlichste Fisch von allen! Es ist schwierig Fugu mit anderen Fischen zu vergleichen, da sich Fugu geschmacklich sowie im Hinblick auf die Konsistenz stark von anderen Fischen unterscheidet.
