The Omi beef quality was very good, but the chef ruined it. He cooked all 200g of beef in one go, so the beef was amazing for all of 2 minutes then went cold and it all became an oily mess.

Service was very lacking for the price tag, we did not have our orders confirmed (pre-ordered online) until 30mins after arriving - nor were we offered any water, and the waiters needed prompting to take drink orders and providing water. The restaurant was only 1/3 full.

We came here for lunch and ordered the lunch special as we noticed most of the locals were. The Omi beef did not disappoint as it was prepared perfectly by the chef, we ordered the garlic rice and was disappointed that we didn't get to see this prepared in front of us as it was done for other guests. We used google translate to read the menu as there wasn't an English one. The waitresses serving us were nice but wasn't super attentive as I had to ask for more water on multiple occasions.

Very decent food, but Ōmi beef itself has a lighter flavor profile than Kobe beef so I prefer the latter for the fuller, meatier taste. Also, my meat was rather oily so I started to get a little queasy after a while. However, all the courses were good and service was attentive including water refills. A nice place to go for a treat.
