Manpuku Sushi — Restaurant in Sakai

コロナが原因で、父の葬儀に来ることが出来なかった田舎の伯父と従妹の家族がやってきた時に万福寿司で昼食を取りました。伯父がほろ酔いで、少々大声で話していたので、実は、私は店に迷惑を掛けてないかと冷や冷やしていたのですが、店員さんが笑顔で接客。ほろ酔いの伯父の話を笑顔で聞いて下さって本当に感謝します。

伯父は２年前に妻を亡くし、私もその半年後に父を亡くしています。もしかしたら、伯父の年齢を考えれば、これが生きて会えるのが最後になるかもしれません。田舎に帰る前の１時間余りを万福寿司で過ごし、伯父は店員さんにも料理にも凄く満足し、笑顔で帰っていきました。本当に良い思い出になりました。

店からしたら、私達は１年に出会う数千人の中のお客のほんの一部に過ぎません。でも、私達にとっては、人生でかけがえのない大切なひと時でした。普段から真心のこもった接客を心掛けていらっしゃるのでしょう。この一期一会のひと時を素晴らしい接客と美味しい料理でもてなして下さいまして誠に有難う御座いました。

子供の頃、今は亡き父によく連れられていた万福寿司。でも、回転寿司の登場で長くご無沙汰していましたが、回転寿司とは全く異なる美味しさでした。また伺いますので、是非とも宜しくお願いします。

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, one of my uncles, along with his daughter's family, who live in a rural area, couldn't attend my father's funeral. However, they eventually came to my house, and we decided to have lunch at Manpuku Sushi. Unfortunately, my uncle was tipsy and spoke a little loudly. I was worried that we might cause trouble for the restaurant, but the staff members treated us with a smile. I am very grateful that they were patient with my uncle and maintained a friendly atmosphere.

My uncle lost his wife two years ago, and I lost my father half a year later. Considering his age, this might have been the last time I could see him alive. We spent around an hour at Manpuku Sushi before they had to return to their hometown. My uncle was genuinely satisfied with both the staff members and the food, making it a memorable experience.

Although we were just five customers out of the thousands who visit this restaurant each year, the one hour we spent there was a significant moment in our lives. I believe the staff members always treat their customers from the bottom of their hearts. Thank you so much for providing us with excellent service and delicious food as ichigo-ichie ( Ichigo-ichie is an vital word for tea ceremony, meaning “ We treat you sincerely since this moment couldn’t come back again.) .

I used to visit Manpuku Sushi occasionally with my father.However, with the rise of conveyor belt sushi, we hadn't been to this restaurant in four decades. I am impressed by the higher quality of the food compared to that of conveyor belt sushi. I will definitely return in the future....

As a Muslim couple from Germany the owner made everything to make as comfortable. We said that we don't drink alcohol and don't eat meat except fish. We asked the owner to bring things he recommend. In the end we ate a plate of sushi, half a fish, special rice balls, soup and drank a green tea. Everything was outstanding. Many thanks to the owner. We definitely...

四連休最後の日曜日に来訪。 オリンピックの見たい競技があるので、17時から早めのディナーに利用しました。

お店に入るとカウンターに案内されました。 突き出しがイマイチでした。

最初に生だこの造りを注文。 歯応えが抜群で、とても美味しかったです。

稚鮎の天ぷらも良い揚げ具合で、苦味がありたまらなく美味しかったです。

ホタテのバター焼きはここで食べなくても良いかな〜

牡丹海老の造りも頭もしっかり焼いてくれて、美味しかったです！もう少し大きかったら、もっと良い。

鯵の一匹握りは四貫握りであとは唐揚げに。 パリパリした食感がクセになります。

そしてなんといってもウニ！ 甘みがあってボリュームもありました！ 美味しかった〜

握りは他に鯛や中トロ、赤身、つぶ貝などなど

嫁さんが食べたホタテの炙りとつぶ貝はイマイチだったようです。

そして最後にうなぎの白焼き。 お店に入ると鰻をお勧めされましたので、最後に食べてみました。 わさび醤油をチョンチョンとつけて、パクりと 口の中にくどく無い脂が広がり、幸せでした。

お店の方々の目配りも素晴らしく、おしぼりを新しくしてくれたり、満員にも関わらずお店の方々の連携がすごく取れていました。 すごく気分が良かったです。
