Izumi — Restaurant in Sakaiminato

Didn't get the chance to eat here. But I am giving a very bad review because of the attitude of the staff! Info centre recommended this place so I waited for also 2 hours for it to open at 1730. I went in and I saw locals eating inside. When the female staff saw us, she already gave us a disgusted look. I then asked for a table for 3. She said it s not open. I pointed at the diners but she insisted and repeatedly said NO. I couldn't understand why this place isn't friendly at all to tourists! We were leaving this place with empty stomach feeling...

It’s in one of the side streets. The place is small, and holds only about 20 people. The menu is entirely in Japanese, but with some pictures. This shop definitely does not have tourist vibes. The fish is fresh and preparation is good quality. I had the kaisen don (海鮮丼), and I was very happy with it. The place only accepts cash.
